Awkward Dreams

Hi babes!

Have you ever had a dream that you did not know what to do with? Like you wake up and you think, 'what just happened?' This happened to me the other night. Okay, here it is. So I had a dream that I was at school, but my school was suddenly on a beach. The apartments that my friends and I are trying to get next year were the ones right on the beach. My two girl friends, my two guy friends, and I were all on the beach. All of a sudden, I had to go two work. I went back to my room to grab my stuff and get ready for work. Once I'm all ready I grab my phone and go. I'm walking to my car and I look at my phone. On the phone is a text from one of my guy friends confessing his love for me. (In the dream I was in love with him too.) I see him as I'm walking to my car--like he's walking towards me. We both stop and look at each other. Then he starts to bring up the text, but I cut him off saying that I love him too. Then some stuff happened that probably isn't appropriate for the internet.

But anyways, I woke up and was like what do I do with this information. So that was that.

Boys are Dumb

Hi loves,

So today I'm going to finish my story on the whole basketball player/number shenanigans. So after three days I still hadn't heard anything from him. However, on the third day I was in the dining hall with my friends after dinner and I saw him walking towards us. This is not an uncommon occurrence considering we are at a table right next to where people put their dirty plates away. That same room also leads to a back dining hall. So he's walking towards us (probably to go to the back dining room) and then he stops. He turns around like he is going to sit at the table in front of us. Stops again. Then he decides to sit a the table next to us. First, he chooses to sit in the chair facing away from us, but turns it so his side is facing us, instead of his back. Then he gets up and comes back. BUT, he switches his chair so that he is facing us now. Weird, right? Well anyways, I don't hear from him. Then I'm talking to one of my friends a few days later and she is telling me how she was talking to one of her friends who also plays basketball and he was telling her that my basketball player got a phone number at the game, but he did not know who it was from. WHO ELSE WOULD IT BE FROM? I literally give this kid candy at every single home game. So my friend was like, "Maybe his cheerleader?" Like come on people.

Well, since I am a nice person, I decided to help this kid out a little bit. Our last game was this past Wednesday. For the last game I made up this little back of candy that said "Congrats on a great season! *heart*, Hayley" on one side and "Happy Valentine's Day!" on the other side, since it is close to Valentine's Day. I filled this back with a crap ton of candy, a little valentine, and a handwritten note. The note said,"*name of basketball player*, Thank you for a great season! I had a really fun time being your cheerleader. Hope the rest of your games go well! See you next season! Keep in touch! xoxo, Hayley." Now, if he can't tell the same handwriting in the note is the same handwriting that wrote "call me!" then there is nothing else I can do.

3 Day Rule?

Hi loves,

So you guys know that I gave my basketball player my number on a box of candy at the game yesterday. Well, my friends and I figured he wouldn't text me last night, but then my friend, Joe, was talking about some three day rule. It's like a guy will wait three days before texting a girl when he got her number. It's supposed to make the guy not seem desperate. I, however, think it's a dumb rule. Especially if the girl gave the guy her number. I can see waiting until the next day to not seem anxious, but three days? By the time the three days is up, the girl is going to think that nothing will come of the whole number thing. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's stupid. But hey, what do I know?
My basketball player may not even text me at all. If he doesn't obviously it'll suck, but the upside would be that we only have one game and then I don't have to see him until next season when hopefully the both of us will have forgotten about it. If he does text me though, well then yay! But I'm trying not to get my hopes up so I won't be as disappointed if he doesn't text me? Pickin' up what I'm puttin' down? Well keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'm Actually the Dumbest Person in America

Hi lovies!

So I told you guys that I cheer for my college. Well, we are almost done with basketball season and I think my basketball player is adorable. For every home game, we make our basketball players posters and sometimes give them candy. So me, being the brightest person in the world, decides to give my basketball player a box of candy with my phone number on the back. I was going to do it on the last game (which is next week), but one of my friends decided that it would be a good idea to do it today, so that if anything happened I could do something cute for the last game. Well, to do anything risky, I have to be severely peer pressured into it because I am not ballsy enough to do it myself, but I also don't like disappointing people. So I gave my basketball player the box of candy with my number on it at today's game. Well, I was not able to get dinner since I had to go right from work to the basketball game. After the game, I went to the subway on my campus. I went through the whole subway process, and as I'm checking out, my friend comes up to me and whispers to me that my basketball player just got in line. She was like "you have to smile at him." Well, me being the biggest chicken, wimps out of smiling at him. (He just makes me so nervous and I don't know what to do). But my friend smiled at him and he smiled at her. But here's the thing. He was eating the candy I gave him at the game today. So I should have smiled at him and now I'm dumb. A girl that I cheer with made a really good point, though. She said that he has to make the next move. I made the first one by giving him my number. Now the ball is in his court. (Did you appreciate the basketball reference since he is a basketball player? I thought of that all by myself.) Anyways, nothing has happened yet, but I guess we'll find out.
