Catch-Up Time

Hi lovies! I haven't posted in a while, but I figured it was time because we have a lot to catch up on. First, I graduated high school. Woo! Alumni and stuff! Second, I got another tattoo. Fun! Third, I committed and moved into college! (And of course new school, new boys). Fourth, I'm a cheerleader! This is going to be a long post, so prepare yourselves.

Graduating high school. A big moment in an adolescence's life. It was definitely a change. The colors of my high school were maroon and white and at graduation the boys wear maroon robes and the girls wear white robes. Because the girls wear the white robes, we have to wear white dresses underneath them so it will look "classy." The good part about a white dress is that we can wear whatever shoes we want to with it. My shoes were teal wedges--super cute! For graduation, we line up by height and my gender. Shorter girls to the front, taller girls to the back. Shorter boys to the front, taller boys to the back. Since all the girls in my class decided to wear flats and I wore wedges, I was fourth from last. The girls and they boys walk out together, kind of like an escort. Since more girls graduated in my class than boys, us taller girls did not walk out with a guy from out class. We walked out with each other. The rows on the stage went girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy. All the girls graduated first and then all the boys. Leading up to graduation took forever, but once we were there, it all flew by.

I got another tattoo over April vacation. It is on my foot and says "You will never walk alone." The cool thing about it, though, is that each word is written out by someone different. The 'you' is written by one of my friends. The 'will' is written by my dad. The 'never' is written by my mom. The 'walk' is written by my mimi, and the 'alone' is written by my sister. The reason I did this is because I went off to college and it is like they all came with me. When I told my mom this, she practically cried. The foot definitely hurt a lot more. I also almost passed out. I did not eat anything before I went, but I brought candy because I knew I had not eaten anything. As the tattoo artist is working on me, he looks up and asks me if I am okay. I was like yeah I'm good and he was like are you sure? I was like no. I was dizzy and hot. He suggested I eat the candy and as soon as I did, I felt 300% better.

I committed to Western New England University as a part of the Class of 2018! My sister goes here too, and I kind of ambushed her when I told her. Oops! At my swim banquet, the coach wanted all of the seniors to say their future plans, and of course they had me go first. I had not told my sister at this point because I knew she would not be happy. But, I was so caught off guard at the swim banquet that I did not think to say that I was not sure where I was going yet. But all is well now. I moved in and started school in August. So far, I absolutely love it. I have good classes, great professors, and amazing friends. Although, one of my guy friends apparently does not consider me a friend? Family and Friends Weekend is this weekend and his parents are coming here tomorrow. My friend, Lexi, wanted to know if we got to meet them, and he was like I mean I guess and when they ask me if I have friends, I can be like, yeah I have one friend. I'm standing right next to him like wow, okay thanks. But I mean, who knows.

On to the more exciting topic about college, boys. Jordan, a girl in my hall, and I made Bae Lists. This is mine in order. 1) Hot John 2) Hotness Monster 3) Brian from Georgia. Now, Hot John is the one I'm most focused on because I am kind of friends with him already so I just have to work my way in. Hot John is from around here, he played volleyball for his highs school, he is tall, the most hilarious person I've ever met, and can sing. How perfect is that? I do not know the Hotness Monster's actual name, but one day I was putting away my dishes in the dining hall and he turned around and we almost bumped into each other. I was like ooh sorry! and he was like oh, no problem. The thing was, he had the most amazing eyes. They were like crystal blue. Then as I am leaving the dining hall, he is holding the door, and I was like thanks! and we like looked at each other for a few seconds. Then I walk back to my building and I'm in my bed watching Greek, and I hear two guys walking down the hallway. (This is not uncommon; a lot of boys walk around our floor). Anyways, I look up from Greek to see who it is, AND IT'S THE HOTNESS MONSTER. He lives in the same building as me and I did not even know it! Now Brian. He is such a sweetie. Not only is he a sweetie, he is cute too. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He is an Elementary Ed major so obviously he is good with children/likes children which makes any man 10x more attractive. But yeah, that's the Bae List in order. I'll keep you posted with any future endeavors!

Lastly, I'm a cheerleader for WNE! I tried out for cheerleading, made it, and love it! Right now we are getting ready for Midnight Madness, which is like a pep rally for the school. We are putting on a performance. We start with a pyramid. Then we go into single stunts which include an arabesque and liberty with a twist cradle. Then we do our first dance. Then we go into halts with a twist cradle. Finally we do our second dance. The only setback we have right now is that I got hurt so we cannot practice the pyramid to the music just yet. I hurt my knee stunting. I'm a backer and my flyer went up into a liberty. She was falling, but falling to the left side. I caught her left armpit and right arm, but Jordan caught the rest of her and they both fell to the ground, pulling me with them. When I fell, I landed on my knee and started crying instantly. At first I thought it was broken. Then, I started hysterically laughing (probably from shock). When the trainer came to examine it, she said it was not broken and the ligaments were fine, so nothing was torn. Which is good! She gave me crutches, which I almost killed myself on, and some ice. This was on Wednesday. Yesterday, I still had to use the crutches, but today I just wrapped my knee with an Ace bandage and opted for no crutches. We had practice again today, but did not stunt. We marked everything, but did the dances. I did not do the dances full out because I am not fully recovered yet. Hopefully I will be as good as new on Monday. Fingers crossed!

That is pretty much all that has happened in my life for the past few months. Nothing super exciting, but still something. Talk to you guys hopefully soon.
